Ca you go skateboarding without a skateboard? Yes! OSKAR EDER (11) has no other choice. His single father is the head nurse at a retirement home and is completely overworked due to a threatening stuff shortage; he can't even find the time to order a board for Oskar. 

Consequently, Oskar spends every free minute with the quirky residents of the "Senior Paradise", regularly wrecking cleaning carts, serving trolleys, walkers and wheelchairs while skating on improvised ramps, jumps and half-pipes together with his favorite "oldie" ELFRIEDE (FRIEDEL) WIDUMIR (78) - a former ski jumper turned wheelchair acrobat. 

When the facility manager KOLLERHOFER-HOLLERKOGLER decides to purchase a robot named DALIBERTOBERT instead of hiring more nurses, Oskar is faced with many questions: Is the care robot a friendly giant toy or a malevolent monster putting his elderly friends in danger?
